Mockups!

Welcome to my Mockups page, or 'Fake Games because I'm too lazy to actually make them'! Here you'll find all the games I've made fake screenshots for, sometimes to scratch an itch, sometimes to get ideas out of my head for the future!

Fishy Capers

Sir Steven Pennington is a bored bachelor in the small village of Outsmouth. Having nothing to do with his time, he has turned his hand to the fine art of solving crimes. Explore the town, get to know the citizens, and crack the case! Something smells fishy, and it isn't Steven!

Bubble Frog 64

Bounce around a magical 3D world as the famous and adorable Bubble Frog in his first outing on a 64-bit game system! Bubble Frog 64 would have been a collectathon in the style of Donkey Kong 64 with oodles of things to collect and different characters to unlock! This idea isn't off the table for now but Bubble Frog 2 will be sticking to the fun of 2D and level-based challenges while expanding every concept of Bubble Frog DX it can!

CuddleBound

CuddleBound would, as the name makes no effort to hide, see the silly cast of characters I've built over the years go on a silly little Earthbound-inspired adventure, battling foes, making friends, and maybe even saving the world!

Super Serious "Horse" Racing

Taking inspiration from the horse racing sims of the world, SSHR would see you building up your business as a horse trainer, buying and selling different "horses" and racing them to rise up the ranks and become world-famous for your amazing horse-rearing skills! The dream was to have online "play" where each player would submit a "horse" and then watch to see whose is best with Twitch integration for viewers to bet on who they think will win a race.

Adventure Tower

Adventure Tower is what you get when you have NO idea how to make a game, look up some YouTube tutorials, boot up UE5, and throw stuff at a project file till you quickly notice you don't know what you're doing and how to make any of it work!

Originally the idea was for a loot-based dungeon crawler in the style of Diablo 1 but in first person and with the whimsy and visuals of Mega Man Legends. The project quickly died but is something I from time to time think of revisiting in some form or another. Maybe one day...

Dungeon Crystal Remake

Dungeon Crystal is a very fun little Zelda-inspired Game Boy game made by the amazingly talented Mooon. Inspired by his game and looking for practice in my pixel art work, I took up the job of making a fun little reimagining of the game running on GBA using the appropriate colour palettes and resolution. The result was something I'm very proud of, and when my skills are more 'perfected', I'd love to nag Mooon into working together on a GBA remake of his game! Check out the Game Boy version HERE!!!
